Ellex Announces Board Changes

Ellex Medical announced today that David Lindh had retired from his position as Chairman of the Board of Ellex Medical after 5 years of service and resigned as a Director. Ellex also announced the appointment of Mr Alex Sundich to the Board. Victor Previn has been appointed as Chairman of the Board.

In making the announcement, Victor Previn thanked David for his contribution during a period in which Ellex has substantially transformed its business. “David has a long history with the company and we are greatly indebted to him for his years of service and guidance of the company. David as Chairman recognised the opportunity to take a privately held medical laser business public, successfully raising capital, and completing the backdoor listing in 2001. David embraced the ophthalmic business and has been an enthusiastic and supportive Chairman. We wish him every success in the future”.

“David leaves Ellex to focus more on his role as Chairman of Rundle Capital Partners Limited, an Adelaide based specialist corporate advisory and capital raising firm”.

“We are also pleased to announce that Mr Alex Sundich has agreed to join the Board” said Mr Previn.

Alex is currently Chief Financial Officer of Record Investments Limited, an ASX listed company with a market capitalisation of over $1 billion dollars, having held this position since February 2003. Prior to this position, Alex was an investment banker for 15 years, involved in mergers and acquisitions and capital raisings. From 2001 to 2003 he was employed as an Executive Director of Goldman Sachs & Co in the Sydney office. From 1990 to 2001, Alex was employed by Credit Suisse First Boston in the Sydney office and, from 1993 to 1999, in the New York office. During his investment banking career, Alex gained experience in advising industrial and resources companies on financial and strategic matters.
